Wonder Woman is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the movie stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya. Released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D, Wonder Woman garnered positive reviews from critics and movie-goers. It had the biggest opening for a female-led comic book film, and has grossed more than $500 million worldwide.
The story goes like this: Set in 1918, the film tells the story of Princess Diana, who grows up on the Amazon island of Themyscira. After American pilot Steve Trevor crashes offshore of the island and is rescued by Diana, he tells her about the ongoing World War. She then leaves her home in order to end the conflict, becoming Wonder Woman in the process.
Wonder Woman is of action, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi genre, which runs for approximately 141 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content. For me, it feels refreshing to see a woman star in a superhero movie. It also felt odd because normally you'd see men who are more powerful, and then suddenly they are weak. There's nothing extraordinary with the plot or even the characters considering this is a fantasy film but perhaps it was the acting of Gadot and some others who made the difference. Conversations seemed natural, nothing felt it was forced. While I commend the film's use of special effects, some action scenes and scoring felt like I've seen and heard it before. Overall, I liked the film, especially the back story. I recommend it.
Beauty and the Beast is a musical romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon, which is a remake of Disney's 1991 animated film of the same name. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.
Beauty and the Beast premiered on February 23, 2017, at Spencer House in London and was released in North America on March 17, 2017, in the standard, Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D formats along with Dolby Cinema. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed more than $700 million worldwide on a $160 million production budget.
The story goes like this: Set in Bourbon-era France, a young woman, Belle, is imprisoned in an
enchanted castle by the fearsome Beast, a prince cursed by a sorceress
as penance for his callousness. She is also pursued by Gaston, a
narcissistic hunter who wants her hand in marriage, leading to a
confrontation with the Beast.
Beauty and the Beast is of fantasy, romance, family and musical genre, which runs
for approximately 129 minutes. It's Rated PG in most countries for some action violence, peril, and frightening images. If you ask me, it's arguably the best film of 2017 so far. Entertaining, enchanting, and engrossing - this is how I would describe the film. It is very nostalgic, about 95% faithful to the plot of the original animated film. It's pure perfection, from its cast to its soundtrack, you should go see it!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a 2016 British fantasy film directed by David Yates. It is a spin-off of the Harry Potter film series, which was produced and written by J. K. Rowling. The film stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, and Colin Farrell. Released worldwide in 2D, 3D, IMAX 4K Laser, and other large format theaters, the film has grossed over $250 million worldwide.
The story goes like this: The year is 1926 and Newt Scamander has just completed a global
excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical
creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come
and gone without incident...were it not for a No-Maj (American for
Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of
Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the
wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is of adventure, fantasy, and family genre, which runs
for approximately 133 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for some fantasy action violence. For me, the movie was okay. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. It didn't have the Harry Potter look and feel, which was good and bad at the same time. Good because this is an entirely new film series within the Harry Potter universe and it had to stand on its own. It's bad because it's like you're watching a Marvel/DC Comics movie. The movie had amazing use of CGI and some of the actors were good, particularly Ezra Miller. The story, however, was quite shallow and the scenes were not as fluid as you'd expect. Overall, I think it's still an enjoyable film to see and I can't wait for the next installment.

Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios. The fourteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. With a budget of $165 million, Doctor Strange was met with generally positive reviews. The film is also available in 3D and IMAX 3D.
Marvel's "Doctor Strange" follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City's Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Strange is of action, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi genre, which runs
for approximately 115 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for sci-fi violence and action throughout, and an intense crash sequence. This is not your typical Marvel movie. If you're expecting for Spider-Man and X-Men-type of cinematography, then you're in for a disappointment. While most Hollywood superhero movies trace their roots in Western culture, Doctor Strange puts Eastern mysticism under the limelight. While its plot is similar to that of other Marvel movies, there is some depth to the concepts presented -- think of Inception...or even the horror movie, Insidious, which involved astral projection. The use of visual effects was commendable as well, not to mention the good casting. Tilda Swinton once again proved to be a great actress. Overall, Doctor Strange is a spectacular film. It's a movie that doesn't stray away from its Marvel roots but different enough from the rest to be interesting and engaging.
Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean zombie apocalypse thriller film directed by Yeon Sang-ho and starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi and Ma Dong-seok. The film had its premiere in the Midnight Screenings section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on May 13, 2016. On August 7, 2016, the film set a record as the first Korean film of 2016 to break the audience record with over 10 million theatergoers. Since then, the film has grossed over $80 million worldwide.
The story goes like this:
Sok-woo and his daughter Soo-ahn are boarding the KTX, a fast train that shall bring them from Seoul to Busan. But during their journey, the train is overrun by zombies which kill several of the train staff and other passengers. While the KTX is shooting towards Busan, the passengers have to fight for their lives against the zombies.
Train to Busan is of action, thriller, drama genre, which runs
for approximately 118 minutes. It's Rated R-13 in most countries for intense sequences of violence, blood and gore. I'm not really into Korean movies but this was one hell of a great movie. It was like World War Z meets Snakes on a Plane kind of movie. While the story line is not something new especially for zombie apocalypse-themed movies, for a Korean film, it's quite refreshing. The effects used were realistic compared to most Hollywood movies that rely a lot on CGI. The acting of the cast was very commendable especially that of Gong Yoo (fund manager) and Kim Su-an (his daughter). But what I liked best about the film was the portrayal of different people reacting differently when in distress or during times of crisis and emergency. And yes, it was very sad and tragic but I won't spill the beans. Overall, I highly recommend this movie.
The Secret Life of Pets is a 2016 American computer-animated film produced by Illumination Entertainment. Directed by Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney, the film stars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Steve Coogan, Ellie Kemper, Bobby Moynihan, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Jenny Slate, and Albert Brooks. Upon release by Universal Pictures, it has received positive critical reviews and became the highest grossing non-Disney original animated film in box office history, grossing $724 million worldwide. And because you guys liked it, a sequel is in tow. The film is available in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
The story goes like this: Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favorite
pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel
named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out
that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of lost
pets determined to take revenge.
The Secret Life of Pets is of action, comedy, family genre, which runs
for approximately 87 minutes. It's Rated PG in most countries for action and some rude humor. It's a fast-paced, light, family-oriented movie. I think it was very enjoyable to see on the big screen. It's always interesting to find out what our beloved pets do whenever we leave the house... and this was exactly what the film tried to achieve and it was from the pets' perspective. Adults, children and those young at heart would surely appreciate this movie. Ultimately, The Secret Life of Pets would make you realize the joy of having pets and to those who don't have one, this movie could change their minds.
Suicide Squad is a 2016 American superhero film based on the DC Comics anti-hero team of the same name. The film stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, and Cara Delevingne. In Suicide Squad, a secret government agency led by Amanda Waller recruits imprisoned super villains to execute dangerous black ops missions and save the world from a powerful threat, in exchange for leaner sentences. Released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D, the film broke many box office records, including the biggest August openings in North America ($133.7 million), international ($133.3 million) and worldwide ($267 million), among others and has amassed $465 million in global ticket sales. It was, however, generally panned by critics.
The story goes like this: It feels good to be bad...Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous,
incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful
arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to
defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer
Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of
disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do.
However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for
their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide
Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?
Suicide Squad is of action, adventure, comedy, sci-fi genre, which runs for approximately 123 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content and language. Well, it's a different kind of action movie - a super villain movie to be exact - but I liked it. It's not everyday that you see villains save the world from annihilation. While the movie was quite long, there wasn't any moment I got bored. It was very entertaining and really kept me on the edge of my seat. Props to Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jared Leto, Jay Hernandez and Cara Delevigne for some great acting chops. I am particularly in awe of the Enchantress. She's such a memorable character in the film. The visual effects, scoring and the use of CGI were amazing as well. And the soundtrack, yes, just perfect for the scenes. I don't know why it got bad reviews from critics but if you ask me (and the millions of other moviegoers who had seen it), it's perhaps one of the best superhero/super villain movies this year.
Lights Out is a 2016 American supernatural horror film, directed by David F. Sandberg (in his major directorial debut) and co-produced by James Wan. The film stars Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman, Billy Burke, and Maria Bello. It is based on Sandberg's 2013 short film of the same name and features Lotta Losten, who starred in the short. With a budget of just $4.9 million, the film was released worldwide on July 21, 2016 and was praised by many critics.
The story goes like this: When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind.
Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn't real when
the lights went out...and now her little brother, Martin, is
experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once
tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a
mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged. But this
time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying
that all their lives are in danger...once the lights go out.
Lights Out is of horror genre, which runs for approximately 81 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for terror throughout, violence including disturbing images, some thematic material and brief drug content. Lights out is not your typical horror movie. For one, it was based on a short film and has gone mainstream. Secondly, this was the film director's first major movie. Third, it was visually and mentally scary in a refreshing yet terrifying way. It could probably be the dark look and tone of the movie. Or it's probably just me trying to make sense of the story and the scary creature in it. Whatever the reason is, props to the director, the writers, the cast, and the scoring. Lights Out is as scary as hell from beginning up to the end. If you love horror movies, then this one is definitely for you.
Independence Day: Resurgence is a 2016 American science fiction film directed by Roland Emmerich. It is the sequel to the 1996 film Independence Day and stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward and William Fichtner. It was released by 20th Century Fox in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D with a budget of $165 million.
The story goes like this:
We always knew they were coming back. After 'Independence Day' redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.
Independence Day: Resurgence is of action, adventure, and sci-fi
genre, which runs for approximately 120 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for sequences of sci-fi action and destruction, and for some language. At first, I was excited to see this film until I read some initial reviews. Despite the flak it got from critics, I still decided to see it in a movie house. Guess what? It was indeed disastrous and an utter disappointment. At this day and age, the visual effects used were sub-par. While it was great to see some of the old cast return, most of the new ones were not very good. The acting was forced and dry. It was no where near as epic and memorable as its prequel. The first part was very dragging and most of the action scenes were messy and literally a disaster. This film did not give justice to the original movie. I just hope that if they come up with a sequel, it would be a million light years better.
The Conjuring 2 is a 2016 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. It is the sequel to the 2013 film The Conjuring, with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising their roles as paranormal investigators and authors Ed and Lorraine Warren. The film follows the Warrens as they travel to the United Kingdom to assist the Hodgson family, who are experiencing poltergeist activity at their Enfield council house in 1977.
The Conjuring 2 was released in the United States on June 10, 2016. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed over $91 million worldwide.
The story goes like this:
In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to London, England, where single mother Peggy Hodgson believes that something evil is in her home. When Peggy's youngest daughter starts showing signs of demonic possession, Ed and Lorraine attempt to help the besieged girl, only to find themselves targeted by the malicious spirits.
The Conjuring 2 is of horror, mystery, and thriller
genre, which runs for approximately 134 minutes. It's Rated R-13 in most countries for terror and horror violence. In my opinion, this is the most horrifying movie I have ever seen. If you're in for the ultimate horror movie, then The Conjuring 2 should be part of your bucket list. The actors were outstanding in their performance especially Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. The musical score was commendable as well. The Conjuring 2 was spine-tingling due to the fact that paranormal activities in some scenes took place in broad daylight. The shock factor was there. Overall, it was one hell of a horror movie. I suggest you see it for yourself.
Warcraft is an American epic fantasy film directed by Duncan Jones and written by Jones, Charles Leavitt and Chris Metzen. It is based on the Warcraft video game series and novels set in the world of Azeroth. The film stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky and Daniel Wu. The film portrays the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs and takes place in a variety of locations established in the video game series. The film is set to be released by Universal Pictures on June 10, 2016 but has already been released in France, Indonesia, and the Philippines on May 25, 2016. The film had a budget of $160 million.
The story goes like this:
Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization, led by the humans, faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying world of Draenor to find their place in another. As a gateway known as the Dark Portal opens to connect the two worlds, the humans face destruction while the orcs face extinction. Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel), leader of the humans, and Durotan (Toby Kebbell), leader of the orcs, are then sent on a collision course that will decide the fate of their families, their people and their home.
Warcraft is of action, adventure, and fantasy
genre, which runs for approximately 123 minutes. It's Rated
PG-13 in most countries for extended sequences of intense fantasy violence. I was quite excited to see this film as I've played Warcraft on PC when I was younger. It is always a joy to see these characters you were playing with before on the big screen. But I have to say this...I'm a bit disappointed with the movie. Aside from the cliche scenes and story line, the casting and acting were not really that good. The plot itself is troublesome and can get confusing at times. There were too many characters from different worlds and their names are hard to decipher. Sure, there were great action scenes but overall the movie just disappointed me. I hope they could come up with a better sequel. A computer game as great as Warcraft deserves better.
X-Men: Apocalypse is a 2016 American superhero film based on the X-Men Marvel Comics. It is the ninth installment in the X-Men film series. Directed by Bryan Singer, the film features an ensemble cast starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till. X-Men: Apocalypse premiered in London on May 9, 2016 and will be released in other countries thereafter in 3D and 2D, and in IMAX 3D in select international markets. With a budget of $234 million, the film has received mixed reviews from critics.
The story goes like this:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse,
the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed
the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the
world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a
disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order,
over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance,
Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to
stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse is of action, adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy
genre, which runs for approximately 144 minutes. It's Rated
PG-13 in most countries for sequences of violence, action and destruction, brief strong language and some suggestive images. For me, X-Men: Apocalypse is the best among all X-Men movies I've seen and is probably one of the best films of 2016. I was fortunate enough to have seen it in 4DX. All the special effects made the movie more engaging and interactive. But even without these effects, the movie still turned out great - from its plot to its casting to the use of CGI. Nothing beats the super powers of the X-Men. Engrossing, spectacular, and nothing short of amazing is how I would describe this movie. I really don't care what the critics are saying.
Captain America: Civil War is a 2016 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Captain America, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the thirteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl. With a budget of $250 million,
Captain America: Civil War held its world premiere in Los Angeles on April 12, 2016 and began its international release on April 27 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. The film received mainly positive reviews from critics.
The story goes like this: With many people fearing the actions of super heroes, the government
decides to push for the Anti-Hero Registration Act, a law that limits a
heroes actions. This results in a division in The Avengers. Iron Man
stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check
otherwise cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America
feels that saving the world is daring enough and that they cannot rely
on the government to protect the world. This escalates into an all-out
war between Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow,
War Machine, and Spiderman) and Team Captain America (Captain America,
Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sharon Carter, Scarlett Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant
Man) while a new villain emerges
Captain America: Civil War is of action, adventure, sci-fi, and thriller genre, which runs for approximately 146 minutes. It's Rated
PG-13 in most countries for some intense action sequences. This is probably one of the most anticipated movies of 2016 and I made sure that I get to see it. If you are in for Marvel superheroes engaged in non-stop fighting, then this movie is for you. The special effects used were great and the film is much better to see in 3D. I'm just wondering though why the title of the movie is Captain America when the focus is more on the Avengers...and Spider-Man too. Moreover, there seems to be no plot conclusion or maybe it's just me. Don't get me wrong, it's a very entertaining and fun to watch film. I just expected it to be better.
The Huntsman: Winter's War is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film and acts as both a prequel and sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, and Jessica Chastain, among others. Launched in April 2016, the film has received generally negative reviews from critics.
The story goes like this: As a war between rival queen sisters Ravenna and Freya escalates, Eric
and fellow warrior Sara, members of the Huntsmen army raised to protect
Freya, try to conceal their forbidden love as they combat Ravenna's
wicked intentions.
The Huntsman: Winter's War is of action, adventure, drama, and
fantasy genre, which runs for approximately 114 minutes. It's Rated
PG-13 in most countries for fantasy action violence and some sensuality. Well, despite being heavily panned by critics, I can say that it's not a bad film though it's not great either. The story line was very predictable and many parts of the film were actually boring. The use of special effects was good but the narration of the story and acting could have been better. If they want more movie goers to see its sequel, then the director and producers must try harder next time.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a 2016 American superhero film featuring the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman. It is a follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel. The film is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first live-action film to feature both Batman and Superman, as well as the first theatrical film to feature live-action portrayals of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash. The film had the biggest opening for a superhero film at more than $420 million. It is available in 2D, 3D, IMAX 3D, 4DX, premium large formats and 70 mm prints.
The story goes like this: Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth. As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is of action, adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy genre, which runs for approximately 151 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality. Well, it's an action-packed film loaded with mind-blowing special effects. I must say that it's very lengthy with some parts being quite dragging. I can't help but feel that the storyline was not really that cohesive. It's as if they have been trying to put Superman and Batman in the same setting throughout the film, even if we know that they shouldn't. Casting and acting were good though. Wonder Woman was a revelation although I'm not quite convinced by her acting. Overall, it was an okay film. It's not bad at all unlike what critics are saying.
Miracles from Heaven is a 2016 American drama film based on the memoir of the same name by Christy Beam, which recounts the true story of her young daughter who had a near-death experience and was later cured from an incurable disease. The film stars Jennifer Garner, Kylie Rogers, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Eugenio Derbez, and Queen Latifah.
The story goes like this: Miracles from Heaven is based on the incredible true story of the Beam
family. When Christy (Jennifer Garner) discovers her 10-year-old
daughter Anna (Kylie Rogers) has a rare, incurable disease, she becomes a
ferocious advocate for her daughter's healing as she searches for a
solution. After Anna has a freak accident, an extraordinary miracle
unfolds in the wake of her dramatic rescue that leaves medical
specialists mystified, her family restored and their community inspired.
Miracles from Heaven is of drama genre,
which runs for approximately 109 minutes. It's Rated PG in most countries for thematic material, including accident and medical images. For me, Miracles from Heaven is the ultimate tearjerker movie of the year (to date, at least). Make sure you bring lots of tissue paper or a hanky when you see it. I haven't watched a film like this in so many years that moved me to tears. The last movie that made me sob was probably The Impossible. Anyway, back to Miracles from Heaven. The movie would really bring hope, faith, and love to anyone who wishes to see it. The story of Anna Beam should serve as an inspiration to many, considering everything she had gone through. Better see it for yourself as Miracles from Heaven is definitely one underrated movie that will make you believe in the impossible.
The Divergent Series: Allegiant is an American science fiction, action, adventure film directed by Robert Schwentke. It is the first of two cinematic parts based on the novel Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth, and the third installment in The Divergent Series. The film stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels, Octavia Spencer, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Bill Skarsgård, and Naomi Watts. It is the sequel to The Divergent Series: Insurgent and will be followed by the concluding entry, The Divergent Series: Ascendant. Also released in IMAX format, Allegiant has received generally unfavorable reviews and has been panned by critics.
The story goes like this: After the earth-shattering revelations of Insurgent, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.
The Divergent Series: Allegiant is of action, adventure, and sci-fi genre, which runs for approximately 121 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for intense violence and action, thematic elements, and some partial nudity. Allegiant may not be as exciting as the first two Divergent films but through it, one will get an idea on what the entire series is really about. However, many of the scenes were very predictable. Some were also dragging. I must commend though the chemistry between the two lead actors and the rest of the cast. Allegiant invested heavily in CGI and it paid off. Overall, it was an okay film. Not bad but not great either.
London Has Fallen is a 2016 American action thriller film directed by Babak Najafi. It is a sequel to Antoine Fuqua's 2013 film Olympus Has Fallen. It stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Morgan Freeman, along with Alon Moni Aboutboul, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell and Charlotte Riley in supporting roles. The film has received mainly negative reviews from critics, which is the opposite of what the viewing public thinks.
The story goes like this: After the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances, all leaders of the Western world must attend his funeral. But what starts out as the most protected event on earth, turns into a deadly plot to kill the world's most powerful leaders and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The President of the United States, his formidable secret service head and an English MI-6 agent who trusts no one are the only people that have any hope of stopping it.
London Has Fallen is of action, thriller, and crime genre, which
runs for approximately 99 minutes. It's Rated R-12/13/15/14/16 in most countries for strong violence and language throughout. Olympus Has Fallen was such an entertaining action film and for me, London Has Fallen did not disappoint either. While many of its action scenes looked cliche, including the storyline, the movie was still exciting and thrilling. The casting was perfect and the actors were good. I just hope that the film had used more realistic effects, especially the explosions. Overall, it was a very engaging film that the audience would surely enjoy watching. I hope that it will have another sequel.
