Gameloft Releases Asphalt 8: Airborne Trailer

Gameloft released the trailer for its upcoming Asphalt 8: Airborne title. Asphalt 8 is a sequel to the highly popular racing franchise of the same name. The 8th installment of the game promises to live up to the name with jaw-dropping, console-grade graphics and adrenaline boosting gameplay. The game had actually been featured at a recent Google event to show the capabilities of the new Nexus 7 in terms of graphics performance.


The new Asphalt 8 franchise is called "Airborne" because of platforms, rocks, and other constructions in tracks that you can jump on to lift your car in the air. If you've seen the trailer above, stunts in the air look definitely amazing. The game will pack 180 events that can be played with any of the 47 cars in several new game modes. It also supports simultaneous online multi-player and racing with friends in asynchronous challenges-- all of that is tracked in leaderboards. It will be optimized to run on the new Nexus 7 with its amazing 1,920 x 1,200 display.

There's no word yet on the official release date but Gameloft said it is coming very soon.
