Android 4.4 To Be Called Android KitKat

Android’s Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai has announced that Android 4.4 will be named Android KitKat. This came a bit of a surprise considering rumors point out that the next Android version would be Android 5.0 nicknamed Key Lime Pie. Oh well, Android 4.4 is now Android KitKat. Google said that "it's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody." Also, an Android 4.4 KitKat statue can now be seen at Google's headquarters.

Pichai also announced that Google's Android OS has passed 1 billion activations, which makes it the most successful mobile platform. Are you excited about Android KitKat? What do you think of the name?
