Budget smartphone maker BLU recently announced its Studio 5.5 phablet. The main selling point of the Studio 5.5 is its large screen estate and its quad-core CPU, offered at a very affordable price. Measuring 157 mm x 79.5 mm x 9.5 mm and weighing 184 grams, it's not the sveltest of Android smartphones.
It will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The BLU Studio 5.5, as its name implies, sports a 5.5" TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels,
which makes for a pixel density of 178 ppi. Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU on the
MediaTek MTM6589 platform. There's 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal
storage, which is expandable via the microSD card slot. At the back,
there's a 5-MP primary shooter with an LED flash and capable of 1080p Full HD video recording, while
at the front sits a VGA camera.
