Samsung Galaxy S5 to Debut on January 2014

According to Korean media outlets, Samsung will be officially announcing the Galaxy S5 on January 2014. The earlier than expected release of Samsung's next flagship smartphone is caused by the Korean company's disappointment with the sales of the Galaxy S4, which is already stellar by any company's standard. The actual Galaxy S5 units will be available by February next year.

As far as specs of the Galaxy S5 are concerned, Samsung is expected to debut its 64-bit Exynos 5430 chip, which will feature 8 cores with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing capabilities. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will also have a bumped-up 16-MP primary camera with enhanced low-light performance and optical image stabilization. 4K UltraHD video recording is expected to be on-board too, along with some of the newer features found on the Galaxy Note 3.
