ASUS Unveils PadFone Infinity Lite in Taiwan

The PadFone family continues to grow as ASUS unveils another one of its members - the PadFone Infinity Lite. Its very similar to the PadFone Infinity 2 in terms of specs. The main difference is that the Lite one has a quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor instead of the more capable 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800. The Infinity Lite runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but will probably be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat at some point. The PadFone Infinity Lite consists of a smartphone and a tablet dock. The smartphone has a 5-inch Full HD display with a 13-MP rear camera, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 2,400 mAh battery. The tablet dock sports a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels, and includes an extra 5,000 mAh battery.

Asus announced the PadFone Infinity Lite in Taiwan, where the device will be released in March 2014 for $463. The tablet dock costs an extra $230. There's no word yet on international availability.
