Affordable Huawei Honor 4X Debuts in China

Huawei Honor 4X finally goes official in China though it was unveiled with less fanfare than the Honor 6 Plus. It is actually a phablet, packing a 5.5-inch 720p HD screen. It is powered by a Kirin 620 64-bit processor with either 1GB or 2GB RAM. It has a 13-MP main camera, a 5-MP selfie cam, and a 3,000mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Huawei's own Emotion UI on top.

More than its generous offerings, it is actually the Honor 4X's price tag that makes it irresistible. It retails for just $128 for the 1GB RAM model and $161 for the 2GB RAM model. Huawei must also be feeling the heat from budget smartphone top-seller Xiaomi. The Honor 4X phablet will be sold in white, gold, and black color variants but there's no word yet on its international availability.
