ASUS Launches Pegasus X002: Xiaomi Redmi 1S Killer?
Xiaomi started the craze of ultra-affordable but feature-packed Android smartphones with its Redmi 1S but now almost every major smartphone manufacturer in China has joined the bandwagon. Meet the ASUS Pegasus X002, which costs a measly $128. But do not let its dirt cheap price tag fool you, it actually comes with upper midrange specifications.

The ASUS Pegasus X002 comes with a 5-inch 720p HD touchscreen. Ticking inside it is a 64-bit 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further
expanded via MicroSD card slot. When it comes to imaging, it has an 8-MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing camera. The rear shooter comes with
ultra-picture quality mode and can synthesize a number of pictures
together to form an ultra-high resolution 30-MP image. Connectivity-wise, it has dual-SIM functionality and LTE support. Keeping things juiced up is a 2,500 mAh
battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with ASUS' very own ZenUI on top. It is now available for pre-order in a variety of colors but there's no word yet on its international availability.
