Huawei has released a new Android tablet called Honor T1. Interestingly, it does not bear MediaPad on its name. The Honor T1 may sport a premium-looking unibody aluminum design like other Huawei Honor smartphones but it is actually a midrange tablet in terms of specs.

The Honor T1 packs an 8-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1,280 x 800 resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm
Snapdragon 200 chip with a generous 2GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. A 5-MP camera can be found at the back while there is a VGA-quality camera in front. A large 4,800 mAh battery comes with the tablet, good for up to 20 days of standby time or 40 hours of talk time, according to Huawei.

With a price tag of just $158, the Honor T1 is indeed a very affordable tablet offering from Huawei. It was first announced in India but there is no information on its international availability as of this moment.
