Lenovo K3 (Music Lemon) Costs Less Than $100

Other Chinese smartphone makers must be feeling the heat from Xiaomi. In response, Lenovo has officially unveiled a smartphone called K3 “Music Lemon”. Obviously targeting the Xiaomi Redmi 1S market, the Lenovo K3 is as feature-packed as it is affordable - at just $97. Like the Redmi 1S, the K3 packs a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display, an 8-MP rear camera, and 1GB RAM. The K3 ups the ante with an updated quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, a 2-MP front-facing camera, Waves MaxxAudio technology, 16GB of expandable storage space, and LTE connectivity. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery. It is pretty svelte too, measuring 141 mm x 70.5 mm x 7.9 mm.

Like most Xiaomi smartphones, the Lenovo K3 will be available only online. There is no word yet on whether or not it will be available outside of China. For its very affordable price and decent specs, it is one of those few smartphones that offer the best bang for your buck.
