Oppo R7 & R7 Plus Feature 2.5D Glass

Oppo has unveiled the R7 and R7 Plus, both clad in metal and 2.5D glass. Both handsets pack a 1080p Full HD resolution, which stretches on the 5-inch AMOLED display of the R7 and 6-inch AMOLED display of the R7 Plus. Both are protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Both devices also use the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with 3GB RAM, Adreno 405 GPU and 16GB/32GB of native storage expandable via a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, both handsets sport a 13-MP primary camera with Schneider Kreuznach lens and phase detection auto-focus. The Oppo R7 gets a single LED flesh while the Oppo R7 Plus comes with dual-LED flash. Both are also equipped with an 8-MP front-facing shooter. Connectivity-wise, 4G LTE and dual-SIM connectivity are both covered. The R7 Plus even comes with a fingerprint scanner. The Oppo R7 is powered by a 2,320 mAh battery while the Oppo R7 Plus comes with a much larger 4,100 mAh. Both of which support Oppo's VOOC fast-charging technology, which allow the handsets to be charged to 75% in only 30 minutes.

Both Oppo devices run Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Color OS 2.1 on top. Both are already up for pre-order. The R7 costs $400 while the R7 Plus will set you back $480.
