Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2013: Michael Cinco

Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2013 kicked off last May 22, 2013 (Wednesday) with the SM Ladies' Fashion and Parisian, SM's very own brand of shoes and bags.

Strutting their stuff on the runway were models Divine Lee and Ruffa Gutierrez.

I was not able to attend this collection since I didn't secure an invite but I was more than lucky to have been invited to attend the Michael Cinco fashion show, which took place later that day. With some of the longest lines I have seen ever since I started attending Philippine Fashion Week, Michael Cinco's show was bound to be a hit...and it was a success...really.

There were a lot of VIPs...from US Ambassador Harry Thomas, Jr. to socialites like Tessa Prieto-Valdez to other major fashion designers like Renee Salud and Fanny Serrano to editors-in-chief of fashion magazines, you name it! They were all there, seated in the front row. We were just standing at the back until someone from the second row invited us over to sit with them. It was none other than fashion designer Peter Lim, a Filipino designer known for his bridal gown creations and evening wear. A big thank you to you sir. Michael Cinco presented three sets of gowns and evening wear. I don't know a thing about fashion but hey, the gowns/evening wear/dresses he designed were all captivating. I can just imagine the amount of labor, effort, and time dedicated to create those finely crafted, intricately designed wonders. You should see it for yourself in the photos below. By the way, Stephanie, from Asia's Next Top Model, was one of the models.
