HTC One (M8) for Windows Now Official

The HTC One (M8) for Windows has already been announced. It is basically the same as the HTC One (M8) Android version in terms of specs, save for the Windows Phone 8.1 OS. It still packs a 5-inch 1080p FullHD IPS LCD, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 32GB of expandable internal storage with 2GB RAM, LTE connectivity, a 4-UltraPixel Duo camera, and a 5-MP front camera. HTC was also able to port BlinkFeed and Duo Camera Effects to the Windows Phone version of the One (M8).

The similarities end there as this new HTC One is powered by Windows Phone 8.1. It comes with Windows' Live Tiles and Microsoft's Cortana. Hence, it is bound to clash with the likes of Nokia Lumia Icon, Lumia 1520, and other flagship Lumia smartphones. But in the end, it's basically choosing between Android and Windows Phone when getting the HTC One (M8). The HTC One (M8) for Windows is bound to both Verizon ($99.99 on a two-year contract) and AT&T in the United States. There's no mention yet of global availability.

Til then...

xoxo Nash
