LG G3 A Goes Official Sans the QHD Display

LG has announced another variant of its flagship G3 smartphone - the G3 A. The main difference this smartphone has with the LG G3 is the lack of Quad HD display. The LG G3 A has a smaller 5.2-inch IPS LCD of 1080p FullHD resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26 GHz. It has the same 13-MP rear camera with laser auto-focus and 2.1-MP front-facing camera that one can find in the original G3. Other features include Android 4.4 KitKat with LG's proprietary UI, LTE-A capability, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB of expandable internal memory, and a 2,610 mAh battery. It will come in black and white color variants, both having a “metallic 3D” pattern on the rear case. It will be available in South Korea this August 2014 via SK Telecom. There's no word yet if it will have a global launch.

Do you think LG is following the route of Samsung Galaxy S flagships given that it has several iterations of the LG G3 already, such as the G3 Beat, G3 S, G3 Stylus, and G3 LTE-A?
