Amazon just announced three new tablets: the new Fire HD, the Fire, and the Fire Kids Edition. Amazon Fire HD is the most capable of the three tablets, which also comes in 8-inch and 10-inch variants. Both variants pack a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution and run on a quad-core chipset. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Audio technology, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 5-MP rear camera, HD front camera, 8GB/16GB/32GB storage options, microSD card support, and 8 hours of battery life. It will run the new Fire OS 5 Bellini based on Android Lollipop out of the box. Both variants will come in black, magenta, blue, and tangerine color options. The 8-inch model will cost $149.99 while the 10-inch model will set you back $229.99.

Then we have the Fire, the cheapest of the bunch. It comes with a 7-inch IPS display of 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, a quad-core processor, 8GB of expandable internal storage, a 2-MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing snapper, Wi-Fi 802.11.n, and 7 hours of battery life. Like the Fire HD, it will also run Fire OS 5 Bellini.

There's also the Fire Kids Edition, which is essentially a Fire tablet in a kid-proof case. It comes with a two-year no questions asked guarantee. There's also one year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited access. This tablet will cost just $99.99.
