The Snapdragon 800-Powered Samsung W2014 Flip Phone

Samsung has announced another Android-based flip phone called the W2014. This comes after the Galaxy Golden, which is touted as the world's first Snapdragon 800-powered flip phone. This time around, Samsung has partnered with China Telecom to make this handset for the 'Heart of the World' charity concert.

The Samsung W2014 has high-end specifications, including a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory (with microSD card slot). It also has a 13-MP rear camera, 2-MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0. Just like the Galaxy Golden, the W2014 has dual Super AMOLED displays, both of which are 3.7-inches wide with 800 x 480 resolution. It is powered by a 1,900mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.

There is no information yet on pricing or availability but it is expected to be expensive.
