The story goes like this: She is an overseas worker, slaving away in a cruise ship for the survival of her family. She returns just to be widowed and to find out that her youngest daughter abhors her. Just to repair her relationship with her wayward daughter, she works with her in a call center, spending her nights selling useless fitness products to depressed Americans just to earn enough money to pay for her daughter’s whims.

Call Center Girl is a comedy movie, which runs for approximately 115 minutes. It's rated PG-13 in the Philippines for suggestive language and sexual overtone. The film basically revolves around a mother-daughter relationship. Set in a call center/BPO company, many Filipinos will actually be able to relate to it. The script is actually very shallow but Pokwang did a great job in executing those punchlines. There were even near tear-jerking scenes. Jessy Mendiola really looked beautiful in the movie but something is missing with her acting. Enchong Dee looked manly too for the first time. Lastly, Alex Castro was a revelation, where he played the role of a closeted gay man. If you want a really good laugh, then you should go see this movie.
