Nokia Lumia 1020 VS Lumia 925, 928 and 808 PureView

Nokia finally released the much anticipated Nokia Lumia 1020, which is a 41-MP Windows Phone 8 beast. But how does it stack up against other Lumia powerhouses like the Lumia 920, Lumia 925, Lumia 928, and even the Symbian-powered PureView 808?

From what we know, the Lumia 1020 sports a 41-MP camera using PureView technology, ZEISS optics, 6-element lens, OIS, and LED + Xenon flash. What else do we need to know about this camera-centric smartphone? Let's find out in the chart below:

Hardware-wise, it's more or less the same with its other Lumia siblings, save for the bump at the back, which houses the 41-MP camera sensor. It has the same processor, chipset, screen resolution, and storage capacity. The Lumia 1020, however, has a 2GB RAM, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and an unfortunate non-expandable memory. Software-wise, it runs on Windows Phone 8 and has all the Nokia-added perks like HERE Drive, CityLens, LiveSight, etc. Connectivity-wise, it has got everything covered from LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, wireless charging, and a handful of sensors. Clearly, it's the powerful camera that makes the Lumia 1020 stand out from the crowd...and hopefully, this is enough reason for the public to go gaga over it. What do you think?

Personally, my favorite brand is Samsung Galaxy. But, now Nokia Lumia 1020 seems to be great for it's camera features. Thank you for this post.

It has the best in class camera, low light photographs are awesome(considering its a mobile, do not compare it with a DSLR), though it takes a couple of seconds to process and save image
Now, as Nokia announced that with Lumia Black update they will be adding RAW file format support for L1020, it will be a big step forward in the world of mobile photography. Its a perfect partner for on the go photographers, photojournalists.
Apart from great camera, it features good hardware and gorgeous AMOLED screen. WindowsPhone 8 works like a charm with its hardware. And with 2GB of RAM you can be assured that it will get future updates.
Nokia has put up their best in this phone, but limitations of WP8 make you think again and again before investing arnd half a lakh rupees!

I agree with both of you. Thanks for visiting my blog!

awesome smartphone from nokia..
