The New Moto G: Capable Yet Affordable

The Moto G has also been refreshed. The new Moto G will have a big shoes to fill as its predecessor is Motorola's best selling smartphone ever. The new Moto G still has the same 720p HD IPS display but it has become larger at 5 inches. It is still protected by Gorilla Glass. It also has dual front-facing stereo speakers for better sound management.

However, like its predecessor, it is stuck with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. There is 1GB RAM and 8GB/16GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, it comes with an 8-MP primary camera and a 2-MP front-facing one. It boots stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat with very minor additions by Motorola. It measures 70.7 mm x 141.5 mm x 11 mm and weighs 149g. Its battery is rated at 2,070mAh. There will be a variety of cases and covers to choose from. The new Moto G is expected to cost just $179.99.
