The new Moto X has a lot of tricks up its sleeves. There is Moto Display, which allows you to peek at notifications by lighting up select pixels on the display. There is Moto Actions, which uses IR sensors above the display to give you gesture controls. Then we have Moto Voice, which you can command to post Facebook statuses or send a message. Moto Assist, meanwhile, allows custom actions based on context. It's 13-MP main camera also has several features like the Highlight Reel, which groups together pictures based on location or time, and automatically create a video collage set to music, which you can then share with others. The main camera features dual-LED rind flash and 4K video recording.

Despite not being water resistant, the new Moto X has a water repellent coating. It also has four microphones for better call quality. A 2,300 mAh battery powers the said smartphone. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with a few Motorola additions. Moto Maker still exists and will allow you to customize your new Moto X. Black and white color options come standard but there will be a Moto X made with leather and classic bamboo. It is expected to cost $99 on contract and $499 without carrier subsidies for the 16GB model.
