Meet the Meizu Blue Charm Note (M1 Note) Phablet

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has unveiled an affordable brand new phablet, which it calls the Blue Charm Note (M1 Note). It is obviously Meizu's answer to Xiaomi's Redmi Note or even the midrange LG G Pro and the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note series. The phablet measures 75.2 mm x 150.7 mm x 8.9 mm and weighs 145 grams. It comes in a unibody polycarbonate shell of different colors. It will actually remind you of the iPhone 5C, just blown up. After all, Meizu has never denied to get inspiration from Apple products anyway.

The Meizu Blue Charm Note comes with a 5.5-inch IGZO display of 1080p Full HD resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 400 ppi. It also has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It packs a 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 chipset with an octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, a Mali-T760 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB of non-expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, it comes with a 13-MP rear camera made by Samsung, which is also capable of shooting 1080p videos. In front of the phablet is a 5-MP camera with 4-element lens. Connectivity-wise, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and LTE. It also comes with a 3,140 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Meizu's own Flyme 4 OS on top.

Like many smartphones from China, the Meizu Blue Charm Note has dual-SIM support. As mentioned, it will come in a variety of colors; yellow, green, blue, pink, and white - very much like the iPhone 5C lineup. It costs just $160 for the 16GB model but there's no information yet on its international availability.
