Iconic photography company Kodak is not new to the realm of Android smartphones but has now pushed the enveloped with the launch of the IM5. The Kodak IM5 is more of a smartphone than a camera with some smart functionality. With its simple interface, the IM5 is actually being marketed to baby boomers and seniors who want a simple yet pleasant smartphone experience.

The Kodak IM5 packs a 5-inch IPS display of 720p HD resolution. It is equipped with a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. There is a 13-MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front camera. Since Kodak is a camera brand, the expectations are high for its camera performance. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box but will soon be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It will be available in Europe by the end of March 2015 and will roll out globally soon after. It will cost $249 off-contract.
