Acer Launches 2 New Intel-Powered Tablets

Acer has unveiled two new Intel Atom-powered Iconia tablets: the Iconia One 8 (B1-820) and the Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A30). The Acer Iconia One 8 sports an 8-inch IPS display of 1,280 x 800 resolution, which also features Zero Air Gap technology. Powering it is a 1.83 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of expandable internal storage. It also packs a 5-MP rear camera with an 88-degree wide angle lens and a 0.3-MP front-facing shooter. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The Iconia One 8 (B1-820) will be available in July 2015 and will cost $145.

Meanwhile, the Acer Iconia Tab 10 features a 10-inch IPS display of 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, which also has Zero Air Gap technology and comes with Acer Precision Plus for improved touchscreen performance and Gorilla Glass 4 for superior protection. It is powered by a 1.83 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB or 64GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging features include a 5-MP rear camera and a 2-MP selfie camera while connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. It also runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The Acer Iconia Tab 10 has been designed for educational use and will be joining the Google Education ecosystem. The Acer Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A30) will be available in May 2015 and will cost $299. It will also come with an optional stylus, protective film, bumper case, protective sleeve and wireless keyboard dock.

There's even a third gaming-centric tablet that Acer teased, which it dubbed as the Predator Tablet. Not much is known about it yet.
