Lenovo K80 Packs 4GB RAM & 4,000 mAh Battery

Lenovo is the third consumer electronics company to launch a smartphone with 4GB RAM, after ASUS and Xiaomi. Meet the Lenovo K80, which is a phablet directly aimed at the ASUS ZenFone 2.

The Lenovo K80 packs a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. Like the ASUS ZenFones, the K80 is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.8GHz. As mentioned, it comes with a whopping 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. Imaging-wise, it packs a 13-MP rear camera with LED flash and optical image stabilization (OIS). A 5-MP selfie camera can be found at the front of the device.

There is 4G LTE connectivity and a very generous 4,000 mAh battery like in the Lenovo A5000, considering the K80 is only 8.5 mm thin. It will run Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be available in various colors: black, silver, and red. It will retail for $290. And like the ASUS ZenFone 2, there will be a model of the K80 with just 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which will retail for $240.
