Affordable Nokia 230 Boasts Dual Cameras

In an endless sea of smartphones and phablets, Microsoft has unveiled two new feature phones: the Nokia 230 and the Nokia 230 Dual-SIM. While both devices cannot compete with Android and iOS-powered smartphones in terms of raw specs, the former can definitely serve as an affordable alternative to the latter, especially in the emerging markets, or even as a spare phone.

The Nokia 230 packs a 2.8-inch display of QVGA resolution. It has 16MB RAM with a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion. It runs the Series 30+ platform with built-in apps like Opera Mini, Bing Search, and MSN Weather. Interestingly, it has two 2-MP cameras, one in front and another one at the back. Both also have their own LED flash. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and an FM Radio. A 1,200 mAh battery will keep its lights on. It measures 124.6 mm x 53.4 mm x 10.9 mm and weighs 91.8 grams. While mostly made of polycarbonate, it has a sand-blasted aluminum back cover. And everything costs just $55. Any interested buyers?
