Samsung Galaxy J7 & J5 (2016) Launched in China

Samsung has unveiled the 2016 edition of its affordable Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 smartphones in China. Both smartphones are seemingly targeted to selfie lovers as both come with a 5-MP front-facing camera and front-facing LED flash. The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is the more capable of the two, boasting a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p Full HD resolution. It is powered by an octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. A 13-MP primary camera with LED flash is also on-board. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and NFC connectivity. A 3,300 mAh battery will keep its lights on. Measuring 151.7 mm x 76 mm x 7.8 mm, the Galaxy J7 (2016) tips the scales at 170 grams.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is a bit smaller, sporting a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display of 720p HD resolution. It is also much lighter at 159 grams. Unlike its larger sibling, the Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. It has the same camera and connectivity specs as the Galaxy J7 as well. A meaty 3,100 mAh battery will keep its lights on.

There's no word yet on their pricing and international availability. But both smartphones will surely come in white, gold, and pink color variants.
