Vivo Xplay 5 Elite: First Smartphone w/ 6GB RAM

Vivo debuted the first Android smartphone with a whopping 6GB RAM - the Xplay 5 Elite. Its body is made of aluminum magnesium with ergonomic curves at the back. It also packs a 5.43-inch curved Super AMOLED display of Quad HD resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Ticking inside it is a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with an ultra-fast UFS 2.0 128GB of non-expandable internal storage. It also features a liquid cooling system, similar to the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge. When it comes to camera, the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite has a 16-MP Sony IMX298 sensor with dual-tone, dual-LED flash, phase detection auto-focus, and electronic image stabilization. Connectivity-wise, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LTE, and dual-SIM. It also has a fingerprint scanner and a Hi-Fi chip. A 3,600 mAh fast-charging battery will keep its lights on. The Xplay 5 Elite runs Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with FunTouch OS.

There is a more affordable version of the Xplay 5 Elite, which Vivo calls the Xplay 5. It shares the same dimensions, screen, camera, connectivity options, storage, software, and battery capacity. The only difference is its midrange 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset with 4GB RAM.
