At IFA 2016, Acer took the wraps off two new midrange Android 6.0 Marshmallow-running devices- the Liquid Z6 and the Liquid Z6 Plus. At $130, Acer Liquid Z6 packs a 5-inch display of 720p HD resolution. Under the hood is a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. A modest 2,000 mAh battery will keep its lights on.

If you've been left wanting for more by the Liquid Z6, the Liquid Z6 Plus comes with a better proposition. It has a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. There's a 13-MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing shooter. Its battery is rated at 4,080 mAh, which is very generous. All these cost $280. Both devices will be available in the EMEA market later this year.
