To start off, let's get up close and personal with the one and only Lovi Poekimo.


ON COMING UP WITH A PARODY ACCOUNT...

Q: What made you decide to come up with a parody account?

Lovi: I just wanted to know what the fuss over Twitter was about. A friend of mine was a big fan of @krizzy_kalerQUI (who back then was @krisaquinoSTD) and I got the inspiration to use an "alter ego" from her.

Q: What is your edge over other parody accounts? 

Lovi: My edge is 23 years old. I'll turn 24 next year. Ahihihihi.

Q: Is it hard to maintain a parody account?

Lovi: Yes, kasi may copyright na kasi @superstarmarian sa "meynteyn" eh.

Q: How do you separate your actual self from your alter ego?

Lovi: Well, madali lang, magla-logout lang ako sa Twitter. Charaught.

Q: What word best describes you as a "parody account"?

Lovi: Siguro yung word na "parody". KThnxbye.


HER PERSONAL VIEWS AND OPINIONS...

Q: Are you a Kapuso, a Kapamilya, or a Kapatid?

Lovi: Ka...hit na ano. Masaya namang mag-channel surfing.

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

Lovi: Yesterday's Bride POE sa October 29 na sa GMA. Ahihihi.

Q: Given a chance to meet a certain celebrity, who would it be?

Lovi: Si Daddy POE (FPJ), kaso pwedeng wag sa gabi? Nakakatakot eh. Ahihihi.

Q: If you could date/marry someone from Philippine showbiz, who would it be? Why?

Lovi: Hmmmm. Pwede papuntahin nyo si Jensen Ackles or si James Marsden sa Pilipinas? Ay wait, si Lloyd Zaragosa pala. Or si Benjamin Alves. Or kung wala nang choice, si Jake Cuenca. Landi ko lungs. Ahihihihi.

Q: What are your pet peeves? What makes you tick?

Lovi: Ay, ang spelling po ng name ng pet ko ay "Phoebe" hindi "Peeve". Saka isa lang sya, ang name ng isa is "Chibby". At pinapa-groom ko sila so wala silang tick ha! Ahihihihi.

Q: What is your view on the Cyber Crime Prevention Act?

Lovi: For this I'd let my Yaya answer.

Yaya: As for the provisions against hacking, child pornography, and other “true” cybercrimes we support the CCL. But the e-Libel provision is just ludicrous. I’ve read section 19 several times and listened and read and reviewed opinions from legal experts and other personalities on TV and the internet and the radio and their conclusion is unanimous: e-Libel can be abused by people who’re easily offended as a means of silencing detractors.

As my recent-favorite Senator Guingona puts it, the worldwide trend is to de-criminalize libel. Sure you can make it a civil case, but under the category of “criminal” it essentially makes the government the police of free speech. If you recall the concept of “Big Brother” (as in the draconian leader of Oceania from George Orwell’s “1994” which was the inspiration for the Big Brother reality show), Big Brother is this dictator who polices and punishes people for expressing opinions or sentiments he doesn’t like. He watches them constantly and delivers punishment from on-high upon the unsuspecting citizens. Sounds familiar?

Q: What is your view on the RH Bill?

Lovi: Yaya, pwede ikaw ulit sumagot?

Yaya: I support it. The Church and the pundits of the anti-RH Bill movement keep saying that the RHBill is not the answer to poverty. Ang response ko is “Duhh! Nobody said it was.” Poverty is a complex problem. RH Bill addresses our problem with overpopulation and its byproduct which is poverty. Wala naming nagsabing wag nang i-educate ang mga tao or wag nang magkaroon ng ibang programa para sa mahihirap.

With accessible birth control, we will lessen cases of unwanted pregnancies (and cases of children abandoned in Adoption homes who grow up unwanted and unloved, dead babies stashed in dumpsters, etc). No, the RH Bill will not make sluts out of women or encourage underage sex. Why? Because the media is doing a pretty good job of that on their own with shows like PBB Teens and the current trend of sexting and easy access to porn sites even for kids. Even without the RH Bill, cases of underage sex and teenage pregnancies are ever in the rise. And yes, Tito Sotto, we have empirical data on that. Just ask Senator Pia Cayetano. No amount of prayer or seminars or dinner sessions over a bowl of lucky me will prevent these teens from having sex with each other so you do the next best thing—you PREVENT pregnancies. Besides, it’s not like RH Bill will make the parents suddenly stupid and remove their ability to be, well, parents. If you’re unable to control your children and prevent them from sleeping around, at least the government can stop them from reproducing. Might help lessen the number of dumb people out there.


HER LEGACY AND MESSAGE TO FANS & HATERS...

Q: Any message to your followers/fans?

Lovi: Uhm, don't unfollow me? Ahihihihi.

Q: What is your message to your bashers/haters?

Lovi: Ahihihi, meron ba? Wala naman ata. Sikat lang ang may ganyan.

Q: Should parody accounts continue to exist? Should they be banned?

Lovi: Ay of course I'd love to exist!

Q: If you could ban a certain parody account on Twitter, who would it be? Why?

Lovi: Si @superstarmarian dahil masyado na syang sikat. Charaught lang. Loves ko si Ate Marian. Wag mo ako ikulong sa banyo ha? Ahihihihi.

Q: Will you reveal your true identity before the world ends?

Lovi: Ay, I never kept it a secret. I am Lourdes Virginia Moran Poe........kimo. Ahihihi.

Q: Will Twitter be the same without you?

Lovi: Ay, ang sagwa naman kung may "you" sa Twitter. Can you imagine, "tYOUwitter"ang tawag sa kanya? Pero kung letter"t" ang mawala halimbawa eh di "witter" na lang sya diba? Ahihihi.

Q: Do you plan to open an account on Facebook or Google+ in the future?

Lovi: I have an FB account kaso wag nyo ako dun kausapin kasi naka-connect lang sya sa Twitter account ko. Hindi na ako halos nage-FB ngayon.



Q: How do you want Twitterverse to remember you?

Lovi: Siguro po ire-remind ko sila every now and then para ma-remember nila ako.
