Movie Review: Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2

This is arguably the most anticipated movie of the year! The Twilight franchise has been so successful that it was able to reach the level of success of other top-rated movie franchises, such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Pirates of the Caribbean, in a shorter span of time. Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 marks the end of the Twilight saga and will surely make you miss Bella, Edward, and Jacob...and some more hot guys and girls. This movie is indeed a fitting end to the most successful vampire-themed movie ever.

twilight: breaking dawn part 2

The story goes like this: Bella is enjoying her new life and new powers, after the birth of their daughter, Renesmee. Soon, however, their family bliss is threatened again, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy this potential threat, Bella and the Cullens - together with any allies they can assemble - are preparing to fight a crucial, ultimate battle, to protect their family.

While this movie should be for everyone, violence and some sexual scenes would need some parental supervision, hence it is a PG-13 movie in the Philippines. The genre is adventure/drama/fantasy/romance like all the other Twilight films. All I can say is that you shouldn't miss it! Personally, it is the best Twilight movie to date, and it happens to be the last installment as well. Sadness... The fighting scenes are epic and the twist is very much unexpected. No wonder it has grossed over hundreds of millions of dollars on its first week. You shouldn't miss this and really, take my word for it! It's worth every penny. The soundtrack is a bonus surprise too.

Here's the soundtrack to Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2. It's called A Thousand Years, performed by Christina Perri.
