Restaurant Preview: Bite Contemporary Cuisine

Bite Contemporary Cuisine is one of those must-visit boutique restaurants in the heart of Makati City. Bite has just opened its doors and I was fortunate enough to have been invited by its owner, Chef Jam Melchor. Bite offers a smorgasbord of Filipino dishes, with ingredients derived from organic sources.


This quaint restaurant has two floors. It can accommodate about 50 people. Its interiors have this classic yet modern vibe from the floor to the ceiling. There are paintings, mosaics, and plants everywhere which give customers this relaxing feel. Air-conditioning and lighting are sufficient. They have very courteous servers/attendants as well. They also have a clean and intricately designed washroom upstairs.


I haven't seen their menu yet but I'm sure that it will have mostly Filipino dishes on it. When I was there, lechon, fish cakes, pasta, lychee sherbet, cheese & crackers, and fruits were served. Bite Contemporary Cuisine also sells all-natural, organic, and sustainable local products such as sea salts, coffee beans, and more, which are perfect as "pasalubong."


Bite Contemporary is perfect for families, group of friends, and yes, lovebirds. Budget needed is about PhP400* per person. It is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. They accept walk-ins, take-outs, and reservations. Parking is available in front of the restaurant (albeit limited) but you can also park on the street.
