Samsung Z9005 Redwood Running on Tizen OS

The Tizen-powered Samsung Z9005 Redwood has been spotted in the wild again and is now shown in an extensive hands-on video. The video gives a good preview of the Tizen OS, including the settings and notifications menu, and the camera UI.


Tizen OS's implementation on the Samsung Z9005 looks uncannily similar to Samsung's TouchWiz UI for Android. Comparisons can also be made with the defunct Symbian Belle OS and MeeGo OS. The Samsung Z9005 is said to be a developer-only device and no one knows yet whether or not it will go commercial.
