High-End Sharp Aquos Crystal X w/ Edgeless Display

Sharp Aquos Crystal, with its 5-inch edgeless display, debuted in the US early this year. Now, it's the Aquos Crystal X's time to get under the limelight. Like its smaller sibling, the Aquos Crystal X also sports the iconic edgeless display, but only bigger this time around - making it more like a phablet. The Aquos Crystal X features a 5.5-inch edgeless display of 1080p FullHD resolution. The phablet measures 139 mm x 73 mm x 11 mm, which makes it more compact than most smartphones packing the same screen size.

Unlike the Aquos Crystal, the Aquos Crystal X is truly high-end as it features a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It also features VoLTE and Harman Kardon sound technology. Imaging-wise, it has a 13-MP primary camera with LED flash and a front-facing 1.2-MP camera. It will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and everything will be powered by a relatively small 2,610 mAh battery.

The Aquos Crystal X will be available in black, white, and pink. There's no word yet if it will be available in the US or other international markets, but it was already announced in Japan.
