Xolo Launches a Duo of Omega Android Smartphones

Indian smartphone maker Xolo has launched two new budget smartphones called the Omega 5.0 and the Omega 5.5. Both of which offer a 720p HD display, a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card, and run on Android 4.4 KitKat skinned with Xolo's Hive UI.

The Omega 5.0 packs a 5.0-inch display and is equipped with an 8-MP rear camera using Sony's EXMOR R sensor and a 2-MP camera in front. It also has a 2,100mAh battery. The Omega 5.5, on the other hand, has a phablet-size 5.5-inch screen, a 13-MP primary camera using Sony's EXMOR R sensor, a 2-MP front camera, and a 2,600mAh battery.

The Xolo Omega 5.0 is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available starting December 10 while the Xolo Omega 5.5 will cost Rs. 9,999 and will be available on December 20.
