The ASUS ZenFone C & ZenPower 9600

ASUS has introduced another entry level smartphone in the name of ZenFone C, along with a power bank called the ZenPower 9600. The ASUS ZenFone C is successor to the entry-level ZenFone 4. It packs a slightly larger 4.5-inch display of 480 x 854 resolution and is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal memory. It also sports a 5-MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA-quality front-facing camera. Measuring 136.5 mm x 67 mm x 10.9 mm and weighing 149 grams, this budget smartphone comes with a 2,100 mAh battery. The ZenFone C runs Android 4.4  KitKat out of the box with the ZenUI on top.

There are several colors to choose from when buying the ZenFone C. It's available in red, black, and white color variants. It is now available in Taiwan and costs just $95. International availability of the device may follow soon. Aside from the ZenFone C, ASUS has also unveiled the ZenPower 9600, which is a portable battery charger or a power bank with a capacity of 9,600 mAh. It's available in a variety of colors including black, silver, red, cyan, gray, yellow, magenta, and gold. There's no word yet on its pricing and availability but it's expected to be affordable as well.
