ZTE Grand S3 Comes w/ Eyeprint ID Biometric Tech

The ZTE Grand S3 is the latest flagship smartphone from the renowned Chinese company. It comes with a 5.5-inch display of 1080p Full HD resolution and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz, Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB RAM. While its specs are more fitting to a 2014 flagship smartphone, the ZTE Grand S3 has one more trick up its sleeve. It utilizes an eye-based biometric security through Eyeprint ID. This sensor literally scans your eyes to authorize mobile payments, unlock the screen, or access secure content. This makes the smartphone more secure than any other device using fingerprint scanners. This is done via the front-facing 8-MP camera. Of course, such technology will not work properly under low-light conditions. Anyway, ZTE promises to implement the Eyeprint ID on all of its upcoming Grand smartphones. It is now available in China for 430 euros.
