Movie Review: The Huntsman: Winter's War

The Huntsman: Winter's War is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film and acts as both a prequel and sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, and Jessica Chastain, among others. Launched in April 2016, the film has received generally negative reviews from critics.

the huntsman: winter's war

The story goes like this: As a war between rival queen sisters Ravenna and Freya escalates, Eric and fellow warrior Sara, members of the Huntsmen army raised to protect Freya, try to conceal their forbidden love as they combat Ravenna's wicked intentions.

The Huntsman: Winter's War is of action, adventure, drama, and fantasy genre, which runs for approximately 114 minutes. It's Rated PG-13 in most countries for fantasy action violence and some sensuality. Well, despite being heavily panned by critics, I can say that it's not a bad film though it's not great either. The story line was very predictable and many parts of the film were actually boring. The use of special effects was good but the narration of the story and acting could have been better. If they want more movie goers to see its sequel, then the director and producers must try harder next time.

RATING: 3.5 out of 5 STARS
