Huawei Launches Honor V8 & Band A1

Huawei has unveiled the Honor V8 phablet in China. It features a 5.7-inch display of Quad HD resolution. Ticking inside is its very own octa-core Kirin 950 chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of expandable internal storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. The Huawei Honor V8 comes with two 12-MP primary cameras, with one designed to take 360-degree images, and an 8-MP front-facing shooter. Connectivity-wise, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LTE, and NFC. It also uses USB Type-C and has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. A 3,500 mAh battery keep its lights on. The 32GB variant will retail for $384 while the 64GB will set you back $430. The Honor V8 will come in Champagne Gold, Glacier Silver, Rose Gold, and Platinum Gold color variants.

Together with the Honor V8, Huawei has also announced a new fitness tracker called the Honor Band A1. It is capable of tracking your exercise, steps, calories, and amount of sleep. Aside from these, it can also measure radiation levels around you and can recommend a suitable sunscreen to use. Thanks to its embedded UV sensor. The Huawei Honor Band A1 also functions as a smartband, notifying the user of calls and images by vibrating and emitting an LED light. It connects to both iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth 4.2. A 70 mAh battery will keep its lights on and promises to give up to 28 days of standby time. It also has an IP57 rating for some water and dust resistance. Weighing 20 grams, the Honor Band A1 comes with either silicone or leather straps and is available in 8 colors. To be available on May 25, 2016, the Band A1's price starts at $15 (for the silicone band) and goes up to $30 (for the leather strap).
