Movie Review: The Impossible
The Impossible is an account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time, the December 26, 2004 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia. Top-billed by Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, this movie could easily become a classic. Sadly, despite its amazing true-to-life plot, the movie didn't perform that well in the box office. Nevertheless, it is a great movie. The story is about a British family on Christmas holiday at a beach resort in Thailand that is torn apart when a deadly tsunami devastates the area. The film follows the seriously wounded Maria and her eldest son Lucas as they struggle to safety, not knowing whether Maria's husband and their two younger sons are dead or alive.
RATING: 5 out of 5 STARS
