Restaurant Review: Comida China de Manila

Comida China de Manila is a restaurant along C5 Avenue that offers authentic Filipino-Chinese cuisine. According to its Facebook page, Comida China de Manila will let you rediscover the classic Cantonese taste of Binondo in a relaxing atmosphere. Also, their menu remains faithful to the classic Cantonese fare served in Binondo, but has also evolved into original Chinoy food. Classic favorites, new dishes, dimsum and other surprise concoctions are put together by their chief cook who began his career in the very first PSJ restaurant along T. Pinpin Street.

The restaurant is actually very spacious that can accommodate a lot of guests. The interiors are similar to those you see in posh Chinese restaurants. The place is well-lit and air-conditioned. They have function rooms, which can be reserved, and common rooms for guests as well. Their restrooms are clean and complete with toiletries. They also have a lot of servers/waiters who will gladly take and serve your order. My only qualm is their menu. There are no pictures of the dishes in the menu so if you are not familiar with the dishes, you wouldn't really know what they are and how they look like.

Chinese Food Galore
Let's talk about the food we ordered. These include the yang chow fried rice, spare ribs, pork w/ shrimp siomai, pata tim, and pinsec frito. Okay, so we're kind of "matakaw". As for the drinks, we ordered the bottomless carousel (which you can refill with any of the house blends they serve). Waiting time is probably 15-20 minutes depending on the food you ordered. The servings are generous (quite a lot actually). Overall, the food is good. One of the best Chinese food I've tasted. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Carousel (Four Seasons)
Comida China de Manila takes reservations, accept walk-ins, take-outs, deliveries, and catering services. It is open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The restaurant is perfect for family gatherings, special occasions, or even just for a quick lunch. Budget needed is about PhP350-500, which serves 2 people already. I will definitely go back to their restaurant and try some more of their sumptuous Chinese delights.
