TCL Idol X: Flagship Specs, Bargain Price

Chinese brand TCL also entered the lucrative smartphone market with the TLC Idol X. The sleek-looking, bright-colored Android smartphone offers a quad-core SoC and a 5" 1080p Full HD display, tucked into a 6.99 mm thin body sold for only $277 or €207.

The TCL Idol X smartphone is essentially a rebranded Alcatel OneTouch Idol X. But it's not really surprising considering Alcatel is a subsidiary of TCL. The TCL Idol X specs include a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, and a 13.1-MP camera. The OS on top is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
