Restaurant Review: Yang Chow Dimsum & Teahouse

Yang Chow Dimsum & Teahouse is a Chinese restaurant along Marcos Hi-way in Antipolo City. They serve all kinds of Chinese food...from dimsum to congee to noodles...to Peking duck. As for the ambiance, service, quality of food, and prices, you'll have to find out below.

The restaurant is very spacious that can accommodate a lot of guests. The interiors are very Chinese-inspired. You'll see a lot of hanging Chinese lanterns and other Chinese furnishings. The seats are very comfy as well. The place is well-lit and air-conditioned. They have function/private rooms, which can be reserved, and common rooms for guests as well. Their restrooms are clean and complete with toiletries. However, I noticed that they don't seem to have enough crew to serve all the guests.

We did not order a lot. In fact, we just ordered beef wanton noodles and hakaw. It takes about 15 minutes for the food to be served. The serving size is generous. The food tastes good but it's not the best out there. The prices are very reasonable as well. For PhP 200, you'd have a complete meal already.

Aside from the restaurant, they also have a cafe inside, named Ghenne's, that serves coffee, tea, and cakes/pastry. While the frappe I ordered looks fancy and tastes okay, the cakes couldn't be worse. One of the worst actually.

Yang Chow Dimsum & Teahouse takes reservations, accept walk-ins, and take-outs. It is open daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. The restaurant is perfect for family gatherings, special occasions, or even just for a quick lunch. Budget needed is about PhP150-200. If there's any consolation for their shortcomings, at least they have a free parking area.

RATING: 3.5 out of 5 STARS

The restaurant becomes noisy when they are preparing fruit shake. The sound of the blender is very irritating. The staff is a little slow. Waiting for your bill needs a lot of patience. Baka abacus pa ang gamit nila kaya matagal sa pagcompute!

Good food,WORST SERVICE! Rude servers, who eat their snacks blatantly by the bar. One server had the guts to mouth something before approaching our table when we were about to ask for the chili sauce be replaced because of a dead fly on it. Need to re-examine its staff because i would never go back if these are the same people that would suggest intentional discourtesy to their guests.

Good food, WORST SERVICE!! I was a regular customer of the resto. Got fed up by the rude and terrible attitude of the servers, who kept on eating their snacks blatantly by the bar (on my different visits). Aside from the fact that they don't approach their clients with a smile on their faces, one server mouthed a word before approaching to our table when we were about to request for the chili sauce to be replaced because of a dead fly on it. Disgusting as it was, but I was horrendously disgusted by the "SERVER" who was so mean and didn't live up to her main duty as a SERVER!!!!!! It's high time that this restaurant, with such good food, would have a need to re-examine its staff because i would never go back if these are the same people that would suggest intentional discourtesy to their guests.
