ASUS PadFone mini w/ 7-inch Tablet Dock Goes Official

From rumors to reality... ASUS has finally launched the PadFone mini, which is mid-range smartphone running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It packs a 4.3" Super IPS screen with qHD resolution (256ppi) and a Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset (quad-core, 1GB RAM, Adreno 305). The PadFone mini measures 129.3 mm x 65.6 mm x 8.7 mm and weighs just 105 grams. It sports an 8-MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and BSI sensor that can do 16fps burst shots. There's a 2-MP secondary camera on-board too. The built-in storage is 16GB, expandable with a microSD card. Connectivity-wise, there is dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and GLONASS. It is powered by a 1,500mAh battery.

The PadFone mini, like the PadFone, comes with a tablet dock, this time it is a 7-incher, which has Super IPS screen with 1,280 x 800 resolution (216 ppi). The tablet also adds another 2,200 mAh battery and 310 grams of weight (for a total of 415 grams). The PadFone mini will be launched in Taiwan, China, Russia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. It will come in Black, White and Cherry color variants and will set you back $405/€295.
