ASUS Transformer Book Duet Boots Windows and Android

ASUS has unveiled a new convertible device that boots both Android and Windows OS. The ASUS Transformer Book Duet can switch between both OSes seamlessly in as short as 4 seconds.


While the Transformer Book Duet looks like an ultrabook, it's 13.3-inch FullHD screen is actually removable. It will come with a selection of 4th Gen Intel Core i3/i5 and i7 processors and 4GB of RAM. The tablet part will have either 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the dock can be configured to have between 320GB and 1TB HDD. It may be a bit heavier than most ultrabooks at over 1.85 kg, but it allows for quick switching between the desktop-grade Windows 8.1 and mobile OS Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The ASUS Transformer Book Duet will go on sale starting at $599.
