Product Review: White Glo CRAVE-AWAY Toothpaste

Months ago, I read in a blog that there is this toothpaste that can help one lose weight. And it doesn't end there, it also happens to be a whitening toothpaste. Since I'm a sucker for anything that can whiten my stained clickers, and desperate to lose weight as well, this toothpaste brand could be the answer - hitting two birds with one stone. It is called White Glo CRAVE-AWAY. You probably may have heard of it. One big tube costs about PhP475 but I got mine on sale at Watsons and forked only Php395. Not bad, considering its supposed benefits but definitely way more expensive than your average toothpaste.

I believe White Glo CRAVE-AWAY is made in Australia and can only purchased in the Philippines through Watsons and SM Beauty section. I had been looking for this specific variant of White Glo for quite some time. It was always out-of-stock. Luckily, I found one that day and saw more stocks on the weeks that followed. Let's fast forward to the day I finally tried it out. Well, the toothpaste looked like any regular toothpaste but definitely smelled differently. The taste was even more weird, comparable to that of star anise. After brushing my teeth with it for the first time, my teeth looked a bit whiter but the after taste of star anise in my mouth still lingered.

I also discovered that when you eat right after you brushed your teeth with it, the food would taste weird, bordering to disgusting. But that's about it. After using it for about a month, I noticed that it did not really reduce my cravings or suppressed my appetite. I still am a "pac-man." Good thing is that the toothpaste really whitened my teeth a bit. But then again, you can buy much cheaper whitening toothpastes on the market. In conclusion, its appetite-suppressing attributes came across to me as gimmicky and not effective at all. It's one hell of an expensive whitening toothpaste too...but it does the job,

RATING: 3 out of 5 STARS

Til then...
