Sharp Aquos ZETA w/ Record-Setting Slow-Mo Video

Aquos ZETA SH-03G is Sharp's latest smartphone (or phablet) sporting its EDGEST design platform. It packs a 5.5-inch IGZO display of 1080p Full HD resolution but the smartphone is even shorter than a Samsung Galaxy S6 with a 5.1-inch display. The rest of its specs are flagship-grade. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdradon 810 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB of native storage.

In the camera department, the Aquos ZETA packs a 13-MP primary camera with a wide f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), GR certified lens by Ricoh and LED flash. A cool feature of the device is that it's able to record slow-mo videos at 480p done at 210fps, and interpolated to 2,100fps, which lets you slow down the typical 30fps footage 70 times. The phablet also comes with DTS Dolby surround sound technology, a fingerprint scanner at the back, waterproofing and LTE support. Another cool feature are the LED lights on the smartphone's metal side rim that act as notification light.

The Sharp Aquos ZETA packs a large 3,000 mAh battery, which can easily make the phablet last for 2 days, thanks to its energy efficient IGZO display and Snapdragon 810 SoC. The phablet boots Android 5.0 Lollipop with a very light skin by Sharp on top. It is not clear yet whether this device will make it outside of Japan.

Til then...

xoxo Nash
