Budget-Friendly Archos 50 Helium Plus & 55 Helium Plus
French smartphone maker Archos has unveiled two new budget Android smartphones called the 50 Helium Plus and the 55 Helium Plus (50 Helium+ and 55 Helium+). Both devices come with LTE connectivity and dual-SIM capabilities.

The Archos 55 Helium Plus is the larger of the two devices, packing a 5.5-inch display of 720p HD resolution. The phablet measures 155 mm x 78 mm x 8.3 mm. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable native storage. A 16GB microSD card is included in the package. It also has a 13- MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing snapper. A 2,400 mAh battery will keep the phablet's lights on.

Meanwhile, the Archos 50 Helium Plus comes with a smaller 5-inch 720p HD display. It is very much the same as its bigger brother when it comes to specs: same MediaTek processor, same 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage, and the same 13-MP/5-MP camera combo. The only difference is that the 50 Helium Plus will have a smaller 2,000 mAh battery and would not come with a free microSD card.
Both devices will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. They will be available in black and white this July 2015. The Archos 55 Helium Plus will cost $139 while the Archos 50 Helium Plus will set you back $109.
