LG Bello II Packs a 5-MP Selfie Camera

LG has announced the Bello II, which is successor to the entry-level LG Bello smartphone from last year. It packs a 5-inch display of a measly FWVGA (480 x 854) resolution. That translates to a low pixel density of 196 ppi. Ticking inside it is a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage.

If it were not for its 5-MP front camera and 8-MP primary camera with LED flesh, there's nothing else really going for the LG Bello II. Through software tweaks, LG has equipped the smartphone with Selfie Flash and Gesture Shot, which are both helpful when taking selfies. Connectivity-wise, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and 3G are all supported. Sadly, LTE connectivity is a no go. A 2,540 mAh battery powers the budget smartphone, which runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with the latest LG UX on top.

The LG Bello II will come in white, titan, and gold color options. It will be marketed as the Bello II in Latin America and much of Europe, will be sold as LG Prime II in Brazil and Chile, and will be named LG Max in India, Mexico and the CIS. There's no information yet on pricing but it is expected to be affordable.
