OnePlus 2 Features USB-C, Fingerprint Sensor & MORE
Since the launch and eventual success of OnePlus One, the company behind it is back with its successor. Also touted as a flagship killer at an affordable price, the OnePlus 2 packs some serious specs but ultimately is an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. The OnePlus 2 has the same overall design language of the OnePlus One. It has a frame made of magnesium and aluminum alloy. It has retained its capacitive buttons but now comes with a home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. It also sports a new hardware called the "alert slider," which is a 3-stop sliding button allowing for quick switching between sound and notification profiles - a handy and nifty feature.

In terms of display, the OnePlus 2 packs a 5.5-inch IPS LCD of 1080p Full HD resolution with a wide contrast ratio of 1,500:1, making the screen bright even under direct sunlight. It has a pixel density of 441 ppi. Powering the phablet is a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset v2.1 with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/64GB of non-expandable internal storage. While its predecessor ran CyanogenMod 12, the OnePlus 2 runs near stock Android 5.1 Lollipop with the OxygenOS on top.

Imaging-wise, the OnePlus 2 sports a 13-MP rear camera with a larger 1.3-micron pixel sensors, an f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone dual-LED flash, a six-element lens, laser-assisted auto-focus, and optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera has a Super Resolution Mode, which processes photos to 50-MP. It is also able to record 4K videos at 30 fps, slo-mo videos at 120 fps, and automatic time-lapse. The front-facing camera is a 5-MP unit. When it comes to connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, and dual-SIM support are all covered except for NFC, which is an important feature for Android Pay. It is also one of the first devices to sport the new USB-C plug, which happens to be reversible and fumble-free. A 3,300 mAh battery will keep the phablet's lights on.
