Lava Pixel V1: An Android One Phablet

The Lava Pixel V1 is the newest Android One device from the block. It is a phablet packing a metal rear cover with thin side bezels. It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display of 720p HD resolution. Ticking inside it is a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. Imaging-wise, an 8-MP rear camera, capable of producing 13-MP images, with LED flash is on board. There is also a 5-MP front-facing snapper, capable of producing 8-MP images, for selfies and video calls. There is no LTE connectivity but the Lava Pixel V1 comes with dual SIM slots.


A relatively small 2,650 mAh powers the Pixel V1. Being an Android One device, it runs on the latest Android version (5.1.1 Lollipop) and will surely be upgraded to the next major version of the OS. It is now available in India for about $175.
